The first conversation is free. A call of half an hour is usually enough for me to tell you whether you need help, how much, and whether I'm the right person. If you don't, I'll say so.

 

Three ways of working:

Ad hoc. Buy hours of my time when you need it - a document review, a moderation session, a second opinion on a modification. No retainer, no minimum.

Project. I run a procurement end to end, or take a defined piece of it depending on your capability and capacity. Scope and fee agreed up front, so you know what you're committing to before you start.

 

Retained. An agreed number of days a month for colleges that want procurement expertise on tap without recruiting to it.  The real value of a retainer isn't just capacity - it's what your team picks up along the way. Rather than handing back a finished tender pack, I work alongside the people who'll be running the next one: drafting specifications with the budget holder, sitting in on moderation, talking through why a modification does or doesn't fall within the rules. Formal training teaches PA23 in the abstract. Working through your own live procurement teaches it properly, and it sticks. Over time the aim is that you need me less. That's the point.

Procuring my services compliantly. As a contracting authority you have to buy consultancy properly too. My assignments generally sit below the PA23 services threshold of £207,720 and will be subject to your own Financial Regulations only.  I'm happy to respond to a quotation or procurement exercise as required to ensure compliance.
